Ethiopia Halo Bariti
What We taste: Bergamot, honey, jasmine
Although marketed as Yirgacheffe, this coffee is grown in the Gedeo zone of Ethiopia's highest and most remote southern Gedeb region. The coop's name is Halo Bariti, and has only been in existence since 2012. The members of the coop own their own land and can boast that they have the highest altitude to work with in the entire country of Ethiopia. . It's area with good soil and a rich eco system, where wild heirloom coffee grows naturally, some of which aren't grown anywhere else in the world.
This coffee has a delicate floral and tea-like aroma, with a honey-like mouthfeel and sweetness.
